Sadly, these days emergency situations are an increasingly common occurrence - from natural disasters, such as tsunami and earthquakes through to entirely man-made disasters within conflict zones, many thousands of lives are put at peril each day.
In an emergency situation effective communication facilities are critical. The ability to re-establish reliable communications networks in the golden hours immediately after a disaster is critical. But sadly, when most needed the communications network can be damaged or completely destroyed. First responders, from the emergency services, to home defence & public security, and even news broadcasters need effective communications to re-establish command control and communication functions.
As we know the importance of communication as Hitachi Kokusai Electric Turkey Broadcast Systems, we have turned our attention to natural disaster communications vehicles. We have developed “Mobile Communication Vehicles”(MCV) that are capable of re-establishing digital communication networks very quickly after an earthquake or similar natural disaster.
These facilities provide the infrastructure required to support several hundred IP-based and mobile telephones, high capacity broadband and internet connections (approx 24mbit/second), multiple user radio transmitters and the facilities to receive satellite television.
